Every year, we look for an excuse to bring together the wonderful people who make Fox Real Estate what it is.

Clients who trusted us with one of the biggest decisions of their lives. Business partners who help turn complex relocations into smooth landings. Suppliers who somehow manage to keep us organised. Friends who tolerate our endless conversations about Portugal, property, and where to find the best pastel de nata.

This year, nearly 80 guests joined us in a secret garden hidden away in the heart of Lisbon to celebrate the arrival of summer, the eve of Lisbon Pride, and the community that continues to grow around Fox Real Estate.

And what a night it was.

A Secret Garden in the Middle of Lisbon

One of the things we love most about Lisbon is that it never stops surprising us.

Behind anonymous gates and hidden walls, you’ll often discover places that feel like they belong in another world. Our venue was exactly that: a lush garden oasis tucked away in the city centre, where guests escaped the heat, enjoyed a cold drink, and forgot about emails, meetings, property searches and relocation paperwork for a few hours.

As the sun slowly dropped behind the rooftops, conversations flowed, glasses clinked, and new connections were made.

Some guests had arrived in Portugal just a few months ago. Others have called the country home for years. Some were clients. Some were collaborators. Some were friends who simply wanted to join the fun.

By the end of the evening, nobody seemed particularly interested in labels. That’s exactly how we like it.

The Soundtrack to Summer

No summer party is complete without music.

This year, we were lucky to have DJ David Cruz behind the decks.Originally from New York, David relocated to Tavira with his husband a few years ago and has since become one of our favourite examples of people creating a new life in Portugal while bringing a little bit of their own magic with them.

His funky, soulful and uplifting set provided the perfect soundtrack for the evening. Not too loud to stop conversations, but just energetic enough to keep feet moving and smiles appearing throughout the garden.

Several guests may or may not have been spotted dancing before sunset. No names will be mentioned.

Celebrating Pride, Lisbon Style

The timing of our Summer Party was no coincidence.

The event took place on the eve of Lisbon Pride, one of the city’s most colourful and inclusive celebrations.

At Fox Real Estate, we firmly believe that Portugal’s openness, diversity and welcoming spirit are among the many reasons people choose to build a life here.

Every year, we help people from all backgrounds relocate to Portugal. Entrepreneurs, retirees, digital nomads, families, couples and individuals who are looking not only for a home but for a place where they can be themselves.

Celebrating Pride felt like a natural extension of the values that guide our work every day.

Supporting an Important Cause

While the evening was designed to be fun, we also wanted it to have purpose.

This year, we were proud to support WOMENS Lisboa, an independent association led by Isabel Costa.

For many years, Isabel has dedicated her work to supporting victims of domestic violence, including women, men, teenagers and children.

Beyond direct support, the association is also developing educational books, teaching materials and awareness programmes designed to help young people understand their rights, responsibilities, respect, citizenship and non-violence.

Their ambition is simple yet powerful: educate early, raise awareness and help prevent violence before it begins.

During the evening, Isabel shared a few words about the association’s mission and the impact these educational projects can have on future generations.

Her message resonated deeply with our guests.

Alberto and the Most Important Box of the Evening

Of course, every successful fundraiser needs someone willing to ask people to open their wallets.

Armed with a donation box and a healthy amount of determination, he spent the evening circulating through the garden, encouraging guests to contribute to the cause.

We’re delighted to report that his efforts paid off.

Thanks to the generosity of everyone present, approximately €500 was raised during the event.

As promised, Fox Real Estate matched the amount, bringing the total donation to approximately €1,000.

In a world where it is often easier to scroll than to act, seeing people contribute so willingly was genuinely inspiring.

To everyone who donated: thank you.

And to Alberto: next year, we’re considering giving you a larger box.

More Than Real Estate

People often assume that real estate is about properties.

In reality, it’s about people.

The friendships formed after a successful relocation. The partnerships built through shared projects. The communities that emerge when people from different countries, backgrounds and experiences come together in one place.

Events like our Summer Party remind us why we love what we do.

Portugal continues to attract incredible people from around the world. Every year, our network grows a little larger, our community becomes a little more diverse, and our appreciation for this country deepens even further.
